Inside THE HEATER

Within each Empire Masonry Heater you’ll find internal components utilizing the Envirotech™ technology: cast refractory blocks with integrated tongue and groove for ease of construction. This heater core system greatly reduces construction time through our precision cast parts, while providing greater longevity to the core and improving safety over heaters constructed of firebrick. Add in pre-finished cast iron and ceramic glass doors, cast iron clean outs, chimney dampers, and pre-mixed mortar, and the whole system comes to you on a pallet, ready to install.

When you receive your core system, you or your mason have the ability to build a beautiful, clean burning, radiant fireplace in as little as two working days, just a fraction of the time of competitors units and with no need to locally source additional materials to complete your core.

The Envirotech™ core system also provides you with the only American made, third party tested, masonry heater on the market.

Outside the Heater

Once the heater core is assembled, face it in a variety of materials to match your home’s décor. Choose from brick, stone, stucco, tile, or choose one of Empire Masonry Heaters’ pre-cast veneers available in a wide variety of colors and styles.

Whatever veneer you choose, it will help to capture and store the heat released by the wood fire in the core, and release the heat gently over 12 to 24 hours time.

Heater Performance

Whether you need to heat a 400 square foot room, or a 4000 square foot home, both custom and stock heater core units are computer modeled before production, and designed to exceed 75% efficiency as verified by third party labs,. This compares to 60% efficiency for a traditional wood stove and most other masonry heaters.

The quick, hot fire within the heater’s firebox, combined with properly sized core components, allows your heater to burn cleaner than other stoves and heaters by providing an internal environment which burns the smoke itself. This saves you the expense of catalyst components as in catalytic wood stoves, and their associated replacement costs, while providing superior performance.
